This tribalism, transformed today into nationalism, must give way to a more global sense of ourselves and what needs to be protected and valued. Now we are one world more than ever before, a trend that will only grow over time through enhanced technologies of communication and transportation. Now with environmental problems that are truly global in scope, we are all affected by degradation of the environment. Our more unified but ever more finite world calls for a new outlook.”
