Blog/Opinion: Most Americans are still not aware of the potential hazards within their own home

By HHI Staff

Unfortunately, most Americans are still not aware of the potential hazards within their own home environment. While they may not have asthma, allergies, or chemical sensitivities, they may have other life-draining health complaints such as chronic sinus irritation, sore throat, tiredness, mild depression, or insomnia. Often these symptoms are attributed to viruses, aging, hormones, or tension. Sometimes these factors really do contribute to these maladies. However, it’s now believed that many of these everyday symptoms may be the result of breathing polluted indoor air. Even life-threatening conditions, such as certain birth defects and even some cancers, have been linked to living in unhealthy houses. Click for more info about indoor air quality.
